Discover Healing Powers Of A Therapy Retreat

WHAT IS A THERAPY RETREAT?

In a THERAPY RETREAT, the healing time is maximized. The ONLY client the therapist has for the entire day, is YOU.   Each THERAPY RETREAT is up to 8 hours of highly focused individual counseling with a 1-hour lunch break.

The amount of days you need depends on the severity of your issue, your emotional stability, and your ability to process.  The extended therapy time allows emotional healing to occur much more rapidly throughout the day, rather than weeks, months, or years.

WHY NOT JUST STICK TO TRADITIONAL 60 MINUTE SESSIONS?

Traditional 60-minute therapy is always helpful, but it can sometimes cause emotional wounds from your past to remain activated in between sessions.

Untreated emotional wounds create feelings of anxiety, depression, second guessing yourself, feeling angry or resentful, loneliness, low motivation, and constantly feeling as if you are being judged by others.

A Therapy Retreat allows us to address multiple problems over a large block of time without life’s daily interruptions.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A THERAPY RETREAT

Think of a Therapy Retreat as a type of “emotional surgery".  We go in and clean up all the hurt which led you to feel and believe things about yourself that have never been true. These types of hurts (we call them emotional wounds) often lead to self-sabotaging behaviors and living a life that may seem great to others on the outside, but on the inside, you feel like a hot freaking mess and think "if only they knew just how damaged I really am”.

Each of our therapist have undergone extensive trainings and will be utilizing multiple therapeutic techniques throughout the course of the day. Your therapist will create a custom-tailored treatment plan designed exclusively for your presenting symptoms and personal goals.

Having experienced rapid emotional healing, you will leave transformed and renewed.  You will uncover how emotional wounds have impacted your behaviors and choices in life, and as you heal, you will discover how to love and embrace your true, authentic self.

IS A THERAPY RETREAT RIGHT FOR ME?

A Therapy Retreat may be right for you if:

  • You have a work/life schedule that makes it difficult for you to keep regularly scheduled appointments.

  • You have a pressing issue that impacts your functioning and you cannot afford to wait weeks, months or years for progress.

  • You do not want to seek treatment at a local clinic.

  • You are a mental health/medical professional and you have relationships with the providers in your area.

  • You are the type of person that prefers to dive in and do your work in chunks rather than spreading it out over time.

What kind of problems could a Therapy Retreat help?

  • Low Self-Esteem

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Grief

  • PTSD

  • Any type of trauma related to domestic violence and childhood abuse

  • Attachment wounds

  • Anger outbursts

  • Emotional reactivity

  • Please Note: Long standing and complex issues may require more than one day..

Where do I stay?

This is outpatient therapy.  If you live locally, you will stay in your own home.   If you are traveling for treatment, you will need to secure lodging.  There are several chain hotels within minutes from the office.

Please note, clients are responsible for arranging their own travel accommodations.

Who should not be treated in a Therapy Retreat format?

  • If you have been diagnosed with a dissociative identity disorder

  • If you are currently chemically addicted

  • Suicide Attempt within the last year

  • If your schedule won’t allow you to take off a few days after the therapy retreat.  You will need down time to continue processing so we ask that you refrain from work for a few days following your intensive.

  • Your therapist decides you are not stable enough to move forward with a therapy retreat.

When are Therapy Retreat scheduled?

Each therapist is in charge of their own schedule, but most offer Monday-Thursday availability.

Depending on the therapist, limited Friday and Weekend dates are also available.
