Stress affects every aspect of our being. Prolonged exposure to toxic stress, especially without a sense of resolution, can lead to stuck trauma energy. When unresolved, this energy can manifest as health problems, low energy, relationship challenges, intrusive thoughts, emotional distress, irritability, mood swings, confusing behaviors, dissociation, poor sleep, malnutrition, chronic pain, low life satisfaction, and a diminished sense of self. Together, we will explore your unique stress response to effectively identify your needs, enhance stress tolerance, and build resilience.
I approach therapy with compassion and curiosity, utilizing a trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy style. This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of body and mind, focusing on how nervous system regulation, behavioral urges, thought patterns, emotional states, sensations, and memories all interrelate. Since we experience the world through both body and mind, I believe that both must be included in the therapy process. I integrate techniques from various somatic, cognitive, behavioral, relational, systemic, and experiential therapeutic modalities.
